United States has recently removed MKO (Mojahedin Khalgh Organization) from the terrorist blacklist and this has angered Iranian officials. This organization is a part of Iran’s opposition movement.
Hamid Reza Taraghi, Deputy of Islamic Motalefeh Party, says Iran’s government must sue United States of America over supporting this terrorist group. “We believe the United States is the main supporter of terrorism in world and every operation by Mojahedin Khalgh against Islamic Republic of Iran is backed by United States.”
“Since 30 years ago, Mojahedin Khalgh Organization started their obvious military fight against Iran under the auspices and financial support of United States and CIA service. Despite this group was based outside of Iran (in Iraq) but their main policies and activities were against Islamic Republic of Iran. During the 8 year imposed war between Iran and Iraq, this group helped Saddam Hussein to strike Iran. They also helped United States and Israel in spying nuclear facilities inside Iran’s soil.” Hamid Reza Taraghi, Deputy Director of International Affairs Motalefeh Party, said.
“United States wants to expand its support toward this organization. So they decided to remove the group from the terrorist blacklist. United States can no longer express and show itself as the fighter of terrorism. They have previously supported Rigi, Monafeghin and Taliban.” Taraghi added.
“Currently most international communities are affected by United States pressures but Iran can sue United States in free and independent communities. In fact, most members of this group have criminal records and Interpol must hand over this information to Iran.” Hamid Reza Taraghi concluded.
